With breaking news, Israel has retaliated against Iran, according to a senior US official. It comes five days after Tehran launched a direct military assault on Israel, firing more than 300 drones and missiles. Most of those were intercepted with the help of allies, including the US. And since that unprecedented weekend attack, Israel had vowed to retaliate. Video posted online tonight showing air defense weapons in use over Isfahan, Iran. We turn now to ABC's Matt Gutman in Israel with late reporting. Matt, what are you seeing from Tel Aviv?

Hey, Juju, it's morning here, the start of a major holiday weekend. We've been reaching out to the Israeli military. They are answering text, but they are saying nothing about this strike. We do have, as you just mentioned, a US official telling us that Israel did strike Iran. We don't know if there are casualties. We don't know what facility they targeted or hit. Iranian media saying that it's near Isfahan, a central Iranian city. They say that it's an area that has an international airport, a military base, and possible Iranian nuclear assets. Of course, Israel has been telegraphing, especially the military, that there will be some response. They haven't specified what it would be. The Israeli government has been silent until now. Juju.
